DescriptionThe NPC trial is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial conducted among 1312 participants to examine the effects of selenium on the recurrence of non-melanoma skin cancer. Beginning in 1983, Caucasian participants from seven clinic sites in the eastern US were randomized to receive either 200ug of selenium per day or a placebo.
