DescriptionThe Nambour Skin Cancer Study is a community-based study of Keratinocytic skin cancer (KSC) in which the primary components have been an initial skin cancer prevalence survey in 1986; a randomized, controlled field trial of prevention using beta-carotene supplements and sunscreen application between 1992 and 1996; and follow up of KSC lesions. The study population were originally randomly selected adult residents of the sub-tropical Queensland township of Nambour.
